A First Drive - Google's Latest Self Driving Car

Google is no ordinary technology company.  They have the brains to dream up new things that actually change the lives of the people as they have done it with the Internet search engine, Google maps with street view, Android OS and now self-driving cars.

Fully autonomous driving seems to be just around the corner as I watch this video.  This project must be one of the most ambitious one Google has ever attempted on.  The technology is not intended to be just a cool tech for lazy people.  It as more potential in the auto safety arena as well as crucial aid for people who cannot drive for many reasons.

The company is now developing prototypes of vehicles that have been designed from the ground up to drive themselves—just push a button and they'll take you where you want to go!

So what's so special about this new prototype vehicle?  Well, for a starter, this one doesn't come with a steering wheel, accelerator nor brake pedal.  It is only for the brave ones to actually sit there and let the machine do its thing - drive.

The car truely marks the next stage in Google's self-driving car project which the company has kickstarted back in 2008.  Google has been toying around with modified Toyota Prius and Lexus SUVs until now.

Check out the video, and you will be amazed.
