Acura to Debut NSX at Detroit Auto Show

After years of teasing with concept and prototype, and denying that the car will never make production, NSX is scheduled to be unveiled in January 2015 at Detroit Auto Show.

The car to be unveiled by Honda's luxury brand, Acura, is a real live production version.  So we will most likely hear about the car's detailed specification as well as pricing information.

"The next-generation NSX will deliver a 'new sports experience' true to its heritage and to the supercar concept that originally gave rise to the name NSX," Mike Accavitti, Acura’s general manager, said in a statement.

The first generation of Acura’s NSX model ended its production in 2005.  The NSX has been famed for its flawless handling and unique styling since its inception in 1990.

The upcoming second generation NSX will feature a mid-mounted V-6 in an all-wheel-drive hybrid configuration. A twin-turbocharged V-6 will be mounted behind the two-seat cockpit and will power the rear wheels while two electric motors, each mounted near front wheels boost the total output.  The power-train is estimated at 500 hp.
