Baidu in China is Developing Smart Bicycle



So what makes a bicycle a "smart bicycle"?  Baidu is a company equivalent to Google in western world.  It is a dominating internet search giant that is expanding its business into ever growing list of industries.

The product code named "Dubike" is a non-motorized bicycle featuring regenerative electric technology and an array of smart fitness gear.

It will be equipped with heart rate, speed sensor and even peddle pressure sensor.  All the collected data can be transmitted to your smartphone via Bluetooth connection.  Wait a minute, that kind of sounds like one of those high tech stationary exercise bicycle!

One innovative tech is built into the hub that converts kinetic into electric energy.  So you won't have to charge anything get this bicycle going.  In fact, you can charge your electronic gadget as long as you are paddling.
