Hyundai is Recalling 43,000 Cars in U.S.

Hyundai Motor Co is recalling 42,925 sedans in the United States.  The recall has to do with critical part of the vehicle safety system, brake light.

Unfortunately, the recall this time involves Hyundai's premium models, 2009-2011 Genesis (manufactured between April 30, 2008 and November 21, 2010) and the 2011 Equus flagship (manufactured between July 31, 2010 and November 21, 2010)

The problem involves a circuit failure that may lead to the brake lights not illuminating, according to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. That can significantly raise the risk of rear-end crash, especially during low visibility conditions.

The company reported that there were no reports of accidents or injuries related to the issue according to the documents filed with NHTSA.

Owners of affected vehicles can have the faulty parts replaced at no cost at any of the Hyundai dealers  Hyundai will also be sending out notifications to the owners during the first quarter of 2015.
