Samsung's Safety Truck Gives Drivers X-Ray Vision

Samsung, the biggest electronics manufacture in the world, is extending its reach beyond consumers' home using its high tech display technology.  The company recently announced the creation of an innovative ‘Safety Truck’ that is designed with a giant video display on the back. The video display allows drivers to see what is going on in the area of the road surrounding the truck, so they can pass with caution and confidence, instead of going in blind and making a risky maneuver.

According to Samsung official, “This allows drivers to have a better view when deciding whether it is safe to overtake. Another advantage of the Safety Truck is that it may reduce the risk of accidents caused by sudden braking or animals crossing the road.”

This innovative idea was created by Leo Burnett / Buenos Aires for Samsung’s Argentinian corporate office to promote road safety after hearing statistics that in Argentina, on average, one human dies in a traffic related accident every hour. The Samsung Safety Truck could very well be the answer to decrease this number significantly.

Additionally, Nearly 80% of fatalities happen on roads and the majority involve attempts to overtake on one-way roads, according to estimates released by Samsung.
